Sweet Tinky just recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge at age 16. I photographed her with her family in January. It was chilly, but Tinky who suffered from bad arthritis was a champ and certainly rocked wearing her sweaters! Dad Jerry described her as “a 6 lb dog-like creature” and said prior to the shoot that “she is so spoiled she has no idea she’s a dog. Her cuteness tends to get her whatever she wants.”
Jerry and Ingrid adopted the Peekapoo from friends who had to relocated to South Africa and could not take little Tinks with them. Tinky was four years old at the time.
Jerry surprised his wife Ingrid with a gift certificate for a session for Christmas. Ingrid is a very talented pet portrait artist herself . So this was special because she and Jerry were able to be included in the images with Tinky. Losing a pet is always hard even when you know their time is near.
Always an honor to photograph senior souls so their families have these images to cherish.
