I can’t even believe that my heart and soul, my little rescue dog, will celebrate his 15th birthday on June 17, 2023. We adopted Baxter when he was just three months old. At that time, I never would have guessed or dreamed of how he would change my life.
At least once a week, neighbors will pass us and ask what kind of puppy he is. They can’t believe it when I say this sweet dog is about to be 15 years old. In honor of his birthday, I wanted to share with you the photos I’ve taken of my dog from three months old to 15 years old.
2008 – Baxter as a puppy
We adopted Baxter in September of 2008 after seeing his snapshot online. (top right below). He was shaking when we first held him, but seemed to quickly understand he was safe.
