Million Dollar Dog House – Raleigh pet photography

Jun 20, 2013

I am so excited to officially announce the Million Dollar Dog House project!  I am honored to be the official photographer for this great project that benefits my favorite rescue, the SPCA of Wake County.

Home Builder Mark Davis’ philanthropic pet project is under construction in North Raleigh’s Rose Hall.  It’s a 5 bedroom, 6,800 square foot estate available for public tour this September.  To announce the project, we took Baxter and Lily out to the house to see who would be the better model.  Both were way too distracted, but managed to get “the shot” eventually.  And Baxter’s photo was chosen as the main photo for the website and press release sent out this week.  I just love the team I’m working with on this project and am secretly devising a plan to find somebody to buy this house for me.  OMG…words don’t even describe it’s awesomeness!  There’s even going to be a special tub in the “mut” room to use as a dog bath and a space under the stairs for a crate or dog bed.  It’s two stories with a finished basement that will open up to the backyard.  One of my favorite things about the house is that it has LOTS of windows. I’m a sucker for natural light (as that’s what I use to shoot!).  So stay tuned for updates on the project as the house comes along. Oh and if you really love the SPCA…or animals and want to help them…buy this house for me so I can adopt more animals and have more resources to become a full time volunteer photographer for animal rescues! 🙂 It’s a nice thought at least!
