Triplets, A Sassy younger sister & three boxers – Raleigh family photographer

Oct 7, 2015

Raleigh family photographer – The Luchetta family is simply amazing. I could stop right there because that sums them up.  Sure sure. I’m sure they aren’t totally perfect, but they are pretty darn close!  One of my favorite things about our session was simply capturing life.  Some of my favorite photos are the “outtakes.”

I went to high school with Gayla in Virginia and have followed her growing family from her blog.  I was thrilled when her husband’s military job moved them from NY to NC a few years ago.  I had the pleasure of photographing the kiddos in summer of 2013.  For that session, we kept things country.  Check out the blog post here.

We switched things up this year and went to downtown Raleigh.  Emma was just nine months when I photographed her last.  The family also only had two boxers.  Now, there is a new addition to the family, Lola.  She is a foster failure.  Which I knew would be the case as soon as Gayla first posted on facebook that they rescued her from a kill-shelter and were “looking for a home.”  LOL You can probably tell in the first photo below that the dog on the left and the dog on the right look alike. They are siblings and the first “babies” of the family, Brody and Sadie.  Both are seven years old.  Sadie (far right) makes the funniest faces.  I was cracking up editing photos of her!

From left to right below: Brayden (5), Brody and Lola, Dad Joe, Emma (2), Ava (5) Mom Gayla, Gavin (5) and Sadie (7).

And let’s all swoon over mom’s amazing wardrobe coordination!  I looooove yellow and ended up stealing the idea for our own family photos this summer!

Lola, the newest member of the family!

Gavin (left) originally did not want to participate in the photo below.  So when we finally convinced him to join, I pulled the best photo of him from this series and added him to this group shot below.  It was actually really easy matching up the bricks since everybody had stayed in the same place when he jumped in.  We had a ton of photos from this series and it was hard not to keep them all.  Emma provided a lot of entertainment.  The boys just wanted to go play with rocks.
