How the Family Yearbook Membership Works
At-home photo session:
A relaxed at-home session capturing real-life moments like making breakfast on a Saturday morning, kids playing in the sprinkler, or simply enjoying everyday activities together as a family.
Custom outdoor portrait session:
We’ll select a location in the Triangle that compliments your family’s energy – complete with styled wardrobe planning for a polished, timeless look. You also get priority booking for September & October 2025 fall dates.
A professionally designed 10×10 photo album showcasing both your professional photos and personal snapshots. Upload your favorite 10 photos from each month for Tara to include in your album. You’ll receive an online proof with four revisions.
This is a $1999 value!
You will receive the final edited digital files from both of your family portrait sessions. Most 1-hour sessions have 50-70 images.
This is a $5000 value!
Two 30-minute video calls to keep you on track. We’ll go over the easiest option to upload photos. (Iphone, Dropbox, Google Photos, etc). We’ll schedule a second call in August to review the book design and plan for our fall photo session.

Tara began photographing my husband and me with our two dogs in 2012 for our annual Christmas card. Here we are twelve years later… We’ve seen the value in doing an annual photo shoot with Tara. Our two beloved dogs that Tara originally photographed are now in doggy heaven. When Tara put together a beautiful wedding anniversary memory book for us, we were able to remember them through her beautiful photography over the years.

Frequently Asked Questions About The Family Yearbook Membership
When can we schedule our photo sessions?
Your membership includes two photo sessions each year.
- The first session will take place between January and June.
- The second session will take place between July and November 15th.
Annual calendar members must schedule before September 15th.
When will we receive our Family Yearbook?
You have two options for your book’s timeline:
- December Delivery: Include photos from December 2024 – November 2025, with your Family Yearbook delivered just before the holidays.
- Calendar Year Delivery: Include photos from January – December 2025, with your book delivered in January 2026.
I’ll confirm your preferred timeline at the start of your membership to ensure it’s ready when you need it.
Can I give this as a gift?
Absolutely! This is a great gift for any mom, especially those who may be expecting a new addition to the family or special milestones they would like to document.
What do the photo books look like?
Each book will be 10×10 inches and feature a linen cover which comes in a slate gray or cream color with a foil-stamped title. The pages are seemless and thick so you don’t have to worry about pages ripping, tearing or fading in color.
What if I forget to upload photos during the year?
- I understand life gets busy! If you miss a month or two, you can always send over photos later in the year. I’ll send reminders along the way to help you stay on track, so your Family Yearbook includes all the moments you want to remember.
Can we add extra photo sessions or upgrade our book?
Absolutely! Additional photo sessions can be booked at a special rate for members, and you can upgrade your yearbook to include more pages or premium materials. Let me know if you’re interested in adding anything, and I’ll customize your membership to fit your needs.
What happens if I move or need to cancel?
Your membership is a year-long commitment, and refunds are not available after three months of your initial sign-up. As a Member Maker, your photo sessions are prioritized in my calendar, which means:
- Dates are blocked specifically for members, ensuring availability during busy seasons.
- Your membership supports the planning of your yearbook’s design and fall schedule.
If you relocate, I’ll do my best to accommodate your photo sessions (e.g., coordinating during trips back or scheduling nearby if feasible).
What should we wear for the photo sessions?
I’ll provide a style guide and personalized recommendations to help you coordinate your family’s outfits without stress. You can also send me photos of your wardrobe choices if you’d like feedback before the session. Whether it’s casual or formal, I’ll ensure your family looks cohesive and stylish.
When will we receive our digital files?
- If you pay in full at the start of your membership: You’ll receive your high-resolution digital files 2-3 weeks after each photo session.
- If you choose the monthly payment plan:
- You’ll receive watermarked web-sized images (perfect for sharing on social media) 2-3 weeks after each session.
- High-resolution files from your spring session will be delivered in June or after your 6th monthly installment. Files from your fall session will be delivered in November or December, depending on your session timing.
How much time will this take?
I understand how hectic life can be, which is why this membership is designed to be as stress-free as possible.
- Photo Sessions: Sessions typically last 60 minutes, depending on your family size and needs.
- Uploading Personal Photos: If you choose to include personal photos, my simple system lets you upload a few images each month in just 5-10 minutes.
- Book Design: You’ll have minimal involvement—I handle the entire design process for you. Once the draft is ready, you’ll have the chance to review and make any changes.
Do I have to upload personal photos to be included in the yearbook?
Including personal photos is an essential part of your Family Yearbook. This program is designed to capture the full story of your year—not just the professional portraits, but also the milestones, celebrations, and small moments that make your family’s journey unique. From birthdays and vacations to dance recitals and first days of school, these personal photos help create a truly meaningful keepsake that you’ll cherish for generations.
To make it easy, I’ll set you up with a simple system to send over a few photos each month. That way, your yearbook will beautifully blend the professional images with your family’s most treasured personal memories, all packaged together in one stunning, custom-designed book.
