What a joy to welcome this sweet couple into the InBetween the Blinks family! Mary is a friend of two previous clients and to know her is to have permanent sunshine in your life! She and Greg welcomed Brooklyn the mini Goldendoodle to the family earlier this year. We had a puppy session on the books, but a mishap at the groomer and then a broken leg (silly puppies!) changed the plans. So we had double the fun with a maternity session that also featured Brooklyn as the new addition and big sister.
Rain forced us to reschedule at least once and then we had beautiful weather for our spring maternity session. We were able to take this first family shot right before dark clouds suddenly moved in and it began to pour! Thankfully we had a nice covered porch to take cover and these easy-going parents-to-be were able to roll with it and we kept shooting on our dry cozy porch. And after about 20 minutes, the sun came back out for some gorgeous final images.
Baby Luke arrived July 8th! He was just six pounds. We did his newborn session when he was about three weeks along and settled at home. He stayed asleep the entire time. His porcelain skin was perfection and I wanted to smooch those sweet little lips non-stop! My daughter Emerson is now five months old and it’s so hard for me already to look back and remember that she was just 4.5lbs when she was born!
Brooklyn was a very proud big sister during Luke’s newborn session and didn’t mind sharing the spotlight. Mary and Greg, congrats on your stunningly beautiful baby boy! I can’t wait to watch him grow along side sweet Brooklyn!
