If I could sum up little Wes, it would be “all boy.” Wes is the son of my very best friend (since the 7th grade), Kate! Despite spending the past few years states apart on the east coast and at times on different coasts, we’ve always remained best friends. I traveled to Richmond in November for a day of photo shoots with two clients that have been with me from the very beginning since I launched my business in Raleigh in 2011 (I first created InBetween the Blinks in Charleston, SC). It was a gray and gloomy day and I was so worried how the weather would turn out, but with the cute fall trees and the even cuter subjects, it was a great day!
Kate and her husband Luke drove up from Williamsburg and we had a great visit, snapped some photos and enjoyed lunch. I haven’t seen little Wes since I took his newborn photos in early 2011. (man it’s crazy to see how quickly I progressed in my skills from the start of that year to that following fall and especially to now!). Kate and Luke moved to the west coast for two years, but I’ve been able to watch Wesley grow through photos and Kate’s blog. The BEST thing about BEST friends??? Getting together after nearly two years of not seeing each other in person and it being as if we had just spent the entire day before together!
Also, I got to help them share the BIG NEWS that they are welcoming a new baby to the family in May! Wes doesn’t really know what that means right now, but he sure did know he did NOT want to wear that sign around his neck! That is going in his future graduation/wedding photo slide show!
