Sweet Friday turned four years old March 20th! We celebrated appropriately with a Cake Smash session in Wake Forest. I love the pup cakes that Gourmutt’s Bakery makes and my dogs and many other do too!
Mom Terry had been looking for a labradoodle or goldendoodle for a year or so and always thought she would get one that was similar in color to a golden retriever. She received a picture of Friday as a seven week old puppy. She was black and white and “not what I imagined but she was the one for me.” Terri says, “I brought her home and she weighed a little over five pounds and was eight weeks old. Today she is about 46 pounds. She is the sweetest girl and likes everyone she meets.”
Terri told me that Friday can be easily distracted and loves to chase shadows. Usually a squeaky toy and my bag of treats always gets a dog’s attention, but not Friday’s! Friday definitely made me work for her photos! At the end we took her leash off for a few photos without her birthday accessories. We had already done a few images sans leash and she was great and stayed in place. Well, Friday gave us all a run for our money literally! She took off after one click of my camera and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran…and ran and ran around the park! She scared me half to death but stayed on the grass chasing people’s shadows! I was finally able to wrangle her after about 15 – 20 minutes and get her safely back on her leash! I haven’t run that much in a long time! 🙂 Thanks for the work out Friday! Let’s not do that next year!
